Group and Private Instruction

Education is what you get when you read the fine print; experience is what you get when you don't.  -- Pete Seeger

Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. -- Deuteronomy 32:2

In July, 2008, with the help of James Greene on camera, Dan Landrum from Dulcimer Players News and Bing Futch, I recorded a video for the DPN podcast to show new players how to get started playing the mountain dulcimer.  The video is approximately nine minutes long.  If you would like a quick lesson in getting started on your instrument, click the video link below.

Don't forget that you can schedule private lessons at a cost of $30 per 45 minute lesson.  Time and location for lessons are arranged on an individual basis.  You can schedule one class for a specific issue or multiple classes.  Individual lessons can be scheduled as needed without committing to a series of weekly lessons.

Due to other schedule demands, I will not be teaching my regular group classes at Union University during the spring 2011.  However, private lessons are available at a cost of $30 per hour and can be set at a mutually agreeable time and place.  Instruments are available on loan for students who do not own an instrument.

Other group class opportunities will be available in the spring.  Please click here to sign up for monthly newsletters to let you know when events are scheduled.
