Education is what you get when you read the fine print; experience is what you get when you don't.  -- Pete Seeger

In July, 2008, with the help of James Greene on camera, Dan Landrum from Dulcimer Players News and Bing Futch, I recorded a video for the DPN podcast to show new players how to get started playing the mountain dulcimer.  The video is approximately nine minutes long.  If you would like a quick lesson in getting started on your instrument, click the video link below.

Don't forget that you can schedule private lessons at a cost of $30 per half-hour or $50 per hour.  Time and location for lessons is arranged on an individual basis.  You can schedule one class for a specific issue or multiple classes.  Individual lessons can be scheduled as needed without committing to a series of weekly lessons.
